Surgical masks increase the risk of infection research. One study found that the risk of corona infection depends on the quality of the mask. Citing research from the NHS Foundation Trust at Cambridge University Hospital, the BBC reported.

Studies have shown that wearing a high-quality mask, known as FFP-III, can provide 100% protection against viral infections. On the other hand, the surgical masks used by hospital staff have a much higher risk of infection.

The demand for better personal care for health workers in the UK has been going on for some time. Data from the study were collected during regular Covid exams at the NHS Foundation Trust.

The results of the study were published in the draft research paper prior to the PR review. As it turns out, surgical masks capable of blocking some of the liquid are not enough to protect anyone.
