Designer Albar Elbaz, who worked at some of France’s most famous fashion houses, has died in Paris at the age of 59.
Since 2001, Elbaz has been the artistic director of Lanvin, where he was credited with reviving the brand until his dismissal in 2015.
He recently launched his own label AZ Factory.
Johan Rupert, his business partner, said Elbaz died from covid. Mr. Robert praised Elbaz’s “inclusive vision of fashion.”
